About Me
My name is Valentina Briceno-Strocchia and I’m here to help you breathe easier. As an ICF-certified Coach, I founded Apamaté Inc. to help leaders lead even more successful teams and businesses in more sustainable ways. Apamaté Inc. was born out of learning that high performers can only stay high performers when they access competent, ongoing support. When that is not available, a high performer can crash and burn at great personal and professional cost.
It was my own experience of severe burnout that helped me understand just how vital access to a Coach can be. Having someone whose sole purpose is to help you take a step back, assess the situation, understand the resources available to you, believe in you when it can be hard to believe in yourself, and figure out what the next right step can be is a game changer. Why? Because we were never meant to do any of this alone.
Apamaté Inc. has evolved over the past 5 years since I founded it. One thing has stayed true: as a leader, your capacity to adapt to change, challenge, and opportunity is at the core of high performance long-term. So, let's work together to build just that. We can work together in 3 key ways: 1 on 1 coaching, team facilitation, and business consulting.
If you're curious, here are some facts about me:
- My coaching style is based on a trauma-sensitive, healing-informed, intersectional, and anti-oppressive lens that centers people's purpose, passion, and potential. I can offer Leadership Coaching in English, Spanish, and French
- Dottie, Archie, and Frankie are my three cats who sometimes offer coaching support by dropping in to say "hi!" during online sessions
- Before creating Apamaté Inc., I worked in public, private, and not-for-profit sectors in Canada, Colombia, Argentina, and France in the areas of social innovation, systems change, corporate social responsibility, and human rights advocacy
- Creativity brings me great joy in all its forms: colouring, journaling, gardening, decorating, and continuous learning
- Before my training in Executive Coaching at Royal Roads University (RRU), I got my Master's in Global Affairs at the University of Toronto (U of T)
- To me, "yes, and..." is an improv game *and* a way of living, thriving, being, and working
